Having worked in a corporate role for many years, I saw first hand the affect work related stress had on many of my colleagues.
Given the current situation of the COVID 19 pandemic, many staff are working from home. It’s early days yet on how this will impact the well being of our workforce, however early indications are not good. Staff are worried about the pandemic, worried about loosing loved ones and working from home with little social interections.
Companies were already working on helping their staff’s wellbeing and the need for this has increased due to COVID19.
Yoga, breathing exercises and guided meditation and relaxation are some of the ways I can help staff. Yoga is a powerful tool for helping physically and mentally.
All classes are online via ZOOM at moment, however services will be available at the workplace when allowed.
Beginner Yoga Lunchtime – 4 Week Block – Max 10 people. 45 min class.
This introduces staff to yoga, starting with the basics of breathing, poses and relaxation. This small group allows interaction with myself and question time. At the end of the block the practictioner will be able to join the regular class if available.
The programme aims to give staff the tools to continue with a regular home practice.
Printable worksheets are provided for the students on poses.
These classes can run at anytime to suit, however can be ran Mon-Fri from 12-2pm. I can also accomodate shift workers.
Weekly Yoga Class
This Hatha yoga class can be ran as many times as required at any time Monday to Friday to suit your schedule. This class is aimed at those who have completed the beginner course or are already comfortable with yoga and fitness. Max class size is 20.
Desktop Yoga Workshop
This 90 minute workshop, suitable for all staff working at a desk. Offers breathing exercises, stretching and techniques to reduce neck and back pain. Sitting at a desk all day causes a lot of strain to the body. This workshop works on posture and how to use your breath and mindfulness to bring you calm during your working day. All participants receive worksheet to allow them to continue to practice. Suitable for groups of 20. No equipment, mats or leggings required!
Menopause and Yoga Workshop
This 90 minute workshop is aimed at women in the workforce who are in peri menopause or menopause. Often a taboo subject in the workplace, but impacts the workforce greatly. This workshop aims to provide women with tools to help with symptoms and a community to discuss issues freely without judgement. This workshop is limited to 10 participants due to the nature of the workshop.
This can include, one off events for Wellness weeks, Tailored programme for teams. Programmes to suit your workforce and time schedules.
