Yoga and Me

Like most people, I have tried a lot of exercise classes over the years. Some I enjoyed more than others. Some I hated and some I was just bored.

The first yoga class that I remember, I was on maternity leave. It was the one class I came back to. I tried different types of yoga, not really understanding there was different styles at the time. Over the years I did lots of different classes with different teachers. When I first started yoga, I remember thinking, I am never going to be able to get my leg up there in one move as I moved from down dog into a lunge. Or when the teacher said to step or jump to the top of the mat from down dog, I seriously thought she was joking.

The point is we all start somewhere, the starting is important, but the coming back is even more important.

YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE!

Many times I have heard people say, “I am not flexible enough for yoga”.    However that’s the beauty of Yoga,  you start from where you are, build strength, balance, stability and flexibility comes too.

My goal is to take the knowledge I have gained in my training and help others to experience yoga and see the good it can bring to their life.

Yoga with children is a great way to introduce movement, mindfulness and relaxation at a young age. I enourage parents to bring their children from 12 to my classes as I think yoga can be a great tool for children in these busy computer filled times.

l have found yoga to be an immense help in managing peri menopause symptoms.   So much so I have read and studied about this subject to help myself and others through this stage in life.

I completed advanced teacher training for Menopause Yoga with Petra Coveneny in London and I now run Yoga and Menopause workshops and online groups.

Everyone’s journey is different, have a look at my testimonials from the menu above to see what some of my students have to say.

I would be honoured to help you on that journey.  Give me a call,  drop me an email, we can go for a coffee.
